How Video and Reels Changed the Game in Real Estate for Property Managers– And Why I'm All In

There was a time when listing a property was as simple as snapping a few photos, writing a short description, and posting it online. That time is long gone.

Today, people don’t just want to read about a property—they want to experience it. They want to feel the layout, see the light, understand the flow, and imagine their life unfolding inside those walls. That’s why, over the past year, I’ve made it a priority to not just list properties, but to showcase them. And I don’t mean just better photos—I mean full video tours, curated reels, and short-form content that brings each space to life.

Honestly, video and reels have completely changed the game for me. They’ve gone from being a “nice to have” to a non-negotiable. Whether I’m renting out a cozy studio or a modern multi-bedroom unit, creating high-quality video content has allowed me to connect with people in a way that static images simply can’t.

Reels, especially, have become an incredibly powerful tool. They’re short, engaging, and perfect for catching attention in a scroll-heavy world. I’ve used them to highlight key features, show off unique layouts, and even capture the feeling of a space at different times of day. These clips don’t just entertain—they inform. And that’s what makes them so effective.

What I’ve also come to realize is that these videos are more than just marketing. They’re long-term assets. They serve as reference points for potential renters who want to revisit a space without needing to book a second visit. They help cut through the noise, answer questions before they’re even asked, and build a sense of trust and transparency from the very beginning.

I’ve published a series of these videos to showcase the properties I manage, and the response has been overwhelmingly positive. Not only do people love the ability to “walk through” the space before seeing it in person, but many have told me it helped them make their decision faster—and with more confidence.

Here are some reels I posted:

These aren’t just for show—they’re tools. Tools that help people get a genuine feel for the property, tools that answer questions, and tools that represent the space honestly and clearly.

Keeping up with the times means embracing the tools people already use to make decisions. People scroll. People swipe. People watch. So I decided to stop fighting for attention with traditional listings—and started meeting people where they are. On Instagram. On YouTube. In their feed. With real, authentic, immersive content.

If you’re looking to rent, my goal is simple: to make the process easier, clearer, and more enjoyable. And if you’re in the business of managing or marketing properties—take it from me—don’t underestimate the power of a 60-second reel. It might just be the thing that closes the deal.
